Show me someone who ‘loves’ doing laundry. Who on earth loves removing grease stains from clothing? Every single aspect of cleaning dirty clothes is hell annoying and mundane. Wash, fold, iron that’s it. You could do something more constructive (like watching Game of Thrones latest episode or Tinder) with that time!

That’s where hacks come in handy. Each of these 10 hacks will make doing your laundry easier, prettier, and more organized. Read on, save yourself.

1. Remove stains easier

Don’t throw away stained clothing. Ink stains can be removed by using hair-spray or hand sanitizer. Grease stains are tricky, but using baby powder speeds up the process. Some baking powder or vinegar would work wonders on getting those stains out of your crisp white shirt.

Phew, thank us later!

2. Wrinkles vanish without ironing

Ironing is boring. Put your wrinkled shirts in the dryer with some ice cubes for a couple of minutes. The steam from the ice cubes will help to reduce the wrinkles. That will reduce the time you spend on ironing. Alternatively, put them on a hanger and hang them in the bathroom when you have a hot shower. The steam in the bathroom will reduce the creases. Don’t have an iron around? Use a hair dryer instead. It works!

3. Save your clothes from repairs

Prevention is better than cure. Damaged clothes can result in costly repairs. You can save yourself the hassle of taking your clothes to be repaired by implementing some essential precautions.

Ensure you zip your clothes so that the open zips don’t damage other clothing during the wash. Simple, see!

4. Don’t go looking for lost socks

Use laundry bags to wash socks in. This prevents pairs from being separated. Alternatively, create a peg board to hang single socks on. This way it’s easier to match your socks when one goes missing.

5. Wash your Jeans like a Boss

Don’t tire yourself washing your damn thick jeans too often. Keep your jeans fresh by leaving them outside overnight. In case your jeans still have a dirt mark, spot wash the stain. Jeans are meant to be worn rugged.

6. Undo shrinking

If you aren’t washing your clothes well, that can lead to shrinkage. Don’t throw these poor clothes out just yet. You can undo the damage by using a hair conditioner and soaking the shrunken items. It works.

7. Add Coffee to retain color

If you’re washing black clothes, add a little coffee, and that’ll preserve the color. This will help keep your clothes looking great.

8. Yeah, a towel can dry too clothes too!

It’s one of those days when you have left your work outfits to dry till the last minute. You’re obviously in a hurry to dry your clothes. Just add a dry towel to your load of wet clothes. The towel will absorb some of the water and this will reduce the amount of time spent on drying.

9. Your Detergent on Steroids

You have avoided doing laundry for a long time. The clothes are shit dirty. Add some vinegar and lemon juice to your detergent. Alternatively, add baking soda. These natural products will enhance your whites, help reduce stains and help kill bacteria and foul odor   .

10. Reduce time spent on hand washing

Don’t wash delicate items by hand. Put these sensitive clothing in a laundry bag and wash it on a delicate cycle separately. This one will save you a lot of time and effort!
